Springboard Live links outstanding new bands and artists with an opportunity to join a national tour playing at gigs promoted by innovative events producers.

Selected acts will play shows in London, Manchester, Bristol and Cambridgeshire in February 2017. Our shows are ran by local regional producers (aged 18-25) a nd production teams (aged 16-25), creating some of the most exciting live music experiences for audiences. All supported by some of the leading music organisations in the country.

Regional Producer

Springboard Live is a platform for exceptional emerging artists and events producers to develop and connect with new audiences.

 

As the Regional producer you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of the Springboard Live 2017 music event in your region, in partnership with a local music education organisation. This includes shortlisting artists, liaising with venues and technical staff as well as facilitating a production team of ten 16-25 year olds over an 8 week period.

Responsibilities

 

Create Event Concepts

 

You will facilitate group-ideation, collaborating with your production team, working in partnership with your venue and artists in order to generate creative concepts and new ways to produce live music. You will then, supported by your local music organisation, develop a plan for the execution of these ideas and support your production team in creating roles necessary to make it happen.

 

Coordinate Technical Needs

 

You will oversee all production and technical aspects of your event. This includes managing and supporting production team and liaising with artists and the venue’s technical team. You will plan and oversee sound-check as well and get-in; ensuring the set-up and working order of all audio-visual equipment and work closely with technicians to implement your vision.

 

Support production team

 

In partnership with your local music organisation, you will plan and deliver weekly sessions with ten 16-25 year olds, who form your production team. Together you will design the event concept, including the marketing and promotion strategy as well as the technical and logistical plan for the event. You will be responsible for ordering food and refreshments for these sessions, assisting with travel bursaries and be required to maintain regular contact with the national project manager.

Additional Notes

 

Pay is £9.50 per hour. Working days are 8 hours for a full day, or 4 hours for half. Over the project you will work a total of 56 hours (7 full days), for a full fee of £532.00

W/C 14 November 2016 - Regional Producer confirmed.

 

24 November 2016 - Regional Producer Training Day 10.00-16.00

 

This is a day for all partners and Regional Producers to gather and share practice. It will be an opportunity for RPs to hear from experts, explore creative ways to produce live music events and share best practice.

Travel and lunch will be provided.

Some of the topics covered by our expert mentors will include:

• What makes an exceptional experience

• Pulling in punters

• What to expect @ Soundcheck

• Working with artists

• Working with venues

• Facilitating 16-25s

• Getting paid

 

W/C 28 November 2016 - Production Team Sessions begin.

The weekly sessions with ten 16-25s begin and run until the final gig, excluding 19 Dec - 2 Jan.

 

14 December – Regional Producer Skype Meeting 10.00 – 11.30

This is a catch up meeting with all regional producers. It’s an opportunity to share how the process is going.
