Babylon ARTS is Ely's leading arts centre. We run Babylon Gallery, Ely Cinema and deliver arts events and activities that engage audiences in memorable and personal ways as well as providing quality entertainment.

We believe that the work we do for the local community in Ely and beyond makes the area a better place to live and contributes to our audiences’ enjoyment of their environment. We think that the arts offer us opportunities to understand ourselves better and our place in society; enhances our sense of well-being, confidence and self-esteem and even enables us to make new friends.

Each year Babylon ARTS welcomes over 40,000 people who visit or take part in our cultural events and activities. We are the second highest attended venue in the city, second only to Ely Cathedral.

Why we need support

Babylon ARTS currently does not receive any public funding. We are reliant on ticket sales and earned income to sustain our work. In order to continue to offer quality experiences for our community we need to fundraise more widely - all our events have a cost.

By becoming a member, regular donor/patron or business supporter you can help us deliver great cinema, exceptional art exhibitions, innovative live events and exciting community projects. These offer many  opportunities for people to take part in and access the arts for the first time.

You can support us by becoming an annual member yourself, buy a membership for friends or family,  make a regular monthly donation or become a patron. Any gift, no matter how small is gratefully received and will go directly to delivering cultural activities and events at Babylon ARTS.

Babylon ARTS, operated by ADEC, is a registered charity No. 1043197.
