Access to Babylon Cinema screenings

The Babylon Cinema is located at The Maltings in Ely. It is fully wheelchair accessible, with a drop-off point located outside the main door, as well as level access from the Ship Lane car park. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor. Our stewards are always at hand to give directions if needed.

Wheelchair-accessible seating

For screenings in our socially distanced, cabaret-style cinema screenings, all seats are wheelchair accessible. Please simply let us know when you book if you'd like to remain in your chair for the screening, or transfer to a seat.

Assistance dogs

We have seats with additional space for assistance dogs (subject to availability).

Induction loop system

The auditorium has an induction loop system. To use, simply adjust your hearing aid to the 'T' or 'M' position.

Subtitled screenings

We ensure there are several Subtitled and Open Caption screenings per month. If we have several screenings of one film, there will always be one subtitled performance.

The Babylon Gallery is located on the Riverside in Ely. There is a drop off point on Quayside (///presume.tolerates.laws), and plentiful free parking available in Ship Lane car park. There is level access, with a small ramp down to the Riverside gallery entrance itself. There are currently no visitor toilet facilities available in the gallery, but public toilets are located in Ship Lane car park.

Booking tickets if you have access requirements

If you have access requirements, please let us know when you book so that we can do our best to accommodate them and ensure you receive any discounts for which you are eligible. We recommend booking in advance. There are several ways of booking access seats:

Book online yourself

Essential companion tickets

If you need full-time assistance from a companion to attend a ticketed event, please tell us when you book. We will provide a free ticket for your companion (subject to availability). You can also book a companion ticket online, but we may check eligibility when you and your companion arrive. If you are uncertain of eligibility, please contact the Box Office.
