3D to 2D: Drawing and Perspective with Linda Purdy

Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Venue: Babylon Gallery, Ely

This workshop will look at how we can represent a three-dimensional object or scene onto a two-dimensional surface. Many artists find the subject of perspective challenging but it doesn’t need to be. With a few easy steps, tips along the way and a bit of practice you will be able to ensure your subject is realistic and believable when drawn or painted.

Participants need to bring:

  • Sketchpad (A4 or larger)
  • Soft pencil
  • Eraser
  • Ruler
  • Coffee, tea and water will be provided on arrival. Participants need to provide their own snacks

The Society of East Anglian Watercolourists (SEAW) exhibition ‘Water Ways’ is at the Babylon Gallery from Friday 3rd September to Sunday 26th September 2021. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday, 12pm to 4pm with free entry.
