Creating a loose 3D Ink and Watercolour image with Jackie Devereux (SOLD OUT)

Creating a loose 3D Ink and Watercolour image with Jackie Devereux (SOLD OUT)

Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Venue: Babylon Gallery, Ely

This workshop is designed to encourage participants to relax through experimenting and enjoy the physical aspect of wielding anything from a dip pen to a coffee stirrer, an old stick or piece of balsa wood. The practice of reflex drawing enables the mind to wander as loosely as the arm, facilitating sometimes dramatic marks wandering hand in hand through wild and uncontrolled happy accidents! Aimed at all levels, there are no rules or constraints, just pure unadulterated discoveries.

Participants need to bring:

Be prepared for the unexpected:

  • Dip pen and/or a stick
  • Permanent black Indian Ink
  • Water jar
  • Basic watercolours
  • Brushes
  • Watercolour paper, A2 size paper would be good, but minimum A3 would suffice (preferably something like Bockingford 300g with any surface)
  • Drawing board
  • Kitchen roll
  • You may like to protect your clothes with an apron!
  • Coffee, tea and water will be provided on arrival. Participants need to provide their own snacks
