Thursday 6 December - 10am-12pm
Babylon Gallery, Waterside, Ely CB7 4AU
£5 to help cover our costs (includes coffee & cake)
The Jelly co-working session at Babylon ARTS is a relaxed informal event for freelancers, home workers and people running small creative businesses to get out of their normal working space, meet some new people and work alongside each other in a social environment. It's not a normal networking event in that it's not about pitching your business or finding new clients, it is about giving you someone else to talk to other than the cat and something else to look at other than your own wall.
For our first Jelly event we'll have two of our trustees on hand (Ted Coney and Stuart Green) to welcome you to our space. They're happy to chat about your creative business, how to approach galleries, pricing, whatever you'd like to talk about. The first one will be a 2 hour session and if you like it, we'll plan some more in on a regular basis.
You bring your laptop (we hope our wifi will cope with the extra traffic so do bear with us for our first one) and some work, we'll provide tables, chairs, wifi and power, plus of course, good company, coffee and biscuits. The event is free but we ask for a donation of £5 to cover services and refreshments.
You could catch up on some reading, write, do some planning, deal with those un-read emails, do some invoicing and accounts, update your social media presence or blog; indeed anything that you can do independently.
