Workshop / Talk Out of School

A walk through the Sedgwick Museum of Earth and Science will take you on a 4.5 billion year journey through time, from the meteoritic building blocks of planets, to the thousands of plant and animal fossils that illustrate the evolution of life in the oceans, on land and in the air all housed in a spacious 19th Century gallery.

The Sedgwick Museums learning programme welcome hundreds of children each year. Our workshops cover Dinosaurs, Fossils, the Rock Cycle, Evolution and why the properties of rocks were so important to Stone Age people.

We also have a range of Loan Boxes containing real fossils and rocks, dinosaur casts and two story boxes appropriate for SEND and early years.

A maximum number of 35 students can take up this opportunity.
