Babylon Gallery, Waterside, Ely, CB7 4AU
Located on the picturesque riverside in Ely, Babylon Arts is an independent arts development charity run by ADEC (Arts Development in East Cambridgeshire). We have an enviable reputation for delivering a high quality, wide ranging programme of visual art, film, live events and significant education and community based projects in Ely and beyond.
Ely is England's second smallest city and the main market town in East Cambridgeshire. We are a short 12 minute train journey from Cambridge and 15 miles north. The Gallery is a 5 minute riverside walk from the station. We are the City’s second most visited attraction second only to Ely Cathedral, welcoming over 25,000 visitors a year. Thanks to Arts Council funding we can now programme live events and art screenings in the gallery alongside our regularly changing programme of exhibitions. Find out more about the refurbishment.
Forthcoming events include our regular Fenspeak event on Wednesday 21 February (7pm for 7.30pm) and WEA one day workshop on Friday 23 February.
Highlights of 2017 have included selling exhibitions from David Hockney and Picasso alongside our established Summer Open Exhibition.
Our current exhibition Art Opposites : Ted Coney and Francis Jeans runs until Sunday 8 April, we're open daily over the Easter Bank Holiday 12-4pm. More details here.
We've got some lovely new stock in our gift shop with beautiful handmade easter decorations on our tree.

Our little gift shop in the Gallery is full of gorgeous gifts lovingly made by local artists and craftspeople. Our cards by Green Pebble also feature work from local and regional artists. It's a great way to support both our arts charity and artists.
Featured artists include: Anna Osborne, Claire Cockayne, Andrew Jones, Jacki Perry and Nadine Anderson, now including prints from Will Harvey.
