Babylon Gallery Summer Exhibition 2016

Themed Exhibition for 2016 : Ship of the Fens July - August 2016

Summer Open Exhibition for 2016 : Ely Cathedral : Ship of the Fens

Our first Summer Open Exhibition 2015 saw more than 4,000 visitors enjoying the artworks on display.

We are now launching our call for entries for our next Summer Open Exhibition. Click here to download a form.

Our Second Summer Exhibition will display works in a variety of mediums and genres by any artist of any age, professional and amateur. Over the 5 weeks it’s a chance for visitors to browse, discuss and buy the works on show.

This year the exhibition will be broadly themed ‘Ely Cathedral : Ship of the Fens’, whether you depict the building, the Fen landscape, or the people, we want to see your take on our beautiful iconic building and flatlands. We are looking for original, contemporary work – entry is open to all and will be selected on its merit, all work must be for sale.

Thanks to Arts Council funding we have relaunched as Babylon ARTS. We’re entering an exciting new phase in the gallery, our space has been refurbished and we're developing a new stream of events at the Babylon Gallery and the Maltings over the next 12 months. Our live season kicked off with Boo Hewerdine and over the coming months you can look forward to some edgy and creative shows in our new lovely intimate performance space. Sign up for our newsletter to keep informed. Coming up soon are the Opera Dudes, our current exhibition ADVENT from Open Studios Artists runs until Sunday 6 December. We've also got some exciting exhibitions planned for 2016 including Matisse from the Hayward Gallery in February. We are currently looking for an exhibition sponsor for the Matisse show, if you're interested in finding out more please email caroline.cawley@adec.org.uk
