Rescued : original stained glass designs & drawings from the Camm Studio
Tuesday 1 - Sunday 13 November
Weekdays 12 - 4 pm, Weekends 10 - 4 pm
A selling exhibition of over 100 original designs and drawings for stained glass windows from the early to mid 20th Century. All the work is for sale. The exhibition includes work from Florence Camm (1874-1960). She spent all her life in Smethwick, running the successful Camm stained glass company with her two brothers. She was working as a stained glass designer, painter and decorative metalworker at a time when women artists and designers were not taken seriously. Her work was exhibited numerous times at the RA in London. These pieces were rescued from eventual decay from a barn and are now framed sympathetically and available for sale. This will be an extraordinary chance to see the art of stained glass maker.
